You don鈥檛 need to have a University IT account in order to use Wi-Fi at the University.

Eduroam

Wi-Fi network name (SSID) = eduroam

"eduroam" is available all around campus and is available for academic purposes:

• 91导航 staff and students
• Visitors from other eduroam institutions
• Academic visitors or anyone here on 91导航 business

How it works:

• UoR Staff and students should always use eduroam as the secure University network.
• Visitors from eduroam-participating institutions can log in using their home credentials.
• Visitors without eduroam credentials need an Eduroam Visitor Account (EVA), which must be requested in advance by a staff member via the 聽form. Access is valid for up to 30 days. Note log in details will be sent directly to the user.聽
  

Note that some institutions may have special instructions or additional steps to connect to eduroam, so if you are visiting from somewhere else and have problems, please contact your own IT department who are best placed to help you.

Sky Public Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi network name (SSID) = Public_WiFi

"Public_WiFi"聽is an unsecured Wi-Fi network run by Sky Business which is available in many public areas of the University, such as caf茅s. The Public Wi-Fi can be used by anybody and doesn鈥檛 need to be requested in advance.

How it works:

• Select "Public_WiFi" in your device network settings
• Agree to the terms and conditions
• There is no bandwidth limit or time limit.聽
  

It is available in the following public areas:聽

Whiteknights campus

• Library Caf茅 and ground floor foyer
• Dolche Vita (Caf茅 in Palmer building)
• Trilobite Caf茅 and Cole Museum of Zoology (Health & Life Sciences building)
• Wilderness Kitchen (Caf茅 in Agriculture)
• Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology (Edith Morley)
• Henley Business School Caf茅 (Whiteknights)
• 91导航 Students Union
• Sports Park,聽Sports Pavilion, Sports Dome
• Park House

London Road campus

• The Great Hall (L45)
• The Dairy (L14)
• Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) - public areas

Greenlands campus

• Henley Business School - all areas (customers at the Greenlands Campus should connect to Wi-Fi Guest (unlimited))

UoR staff or student visiting elsewhere?

. If you are a 91导航 member of staff or student you can get online wherever you see 'eduroam' appear in your list of Wi-Fi networks (including overseas!). You should log in using your UoR credentials. If you are having issues connecting when you are somewhere else, please contact DTS.

Venue 91导航 events

Any non-educational/ guest events should go through Venue 91导航, and they will聽give you instructions for visitor access to the聽Venue_91导航听苍别迟飞辞谤办.听
