Areas of interest
Connor's research focusses on the mechanisms bacteria use to compete with each other, and how we can use these mechanisms to prevent or treat infection.
His current projects include:
• The interplay between bacterial warfare and nutrient competition in the microbiome
• The evolution of resistance to protein antimicrobials
• Optimising protein antimicrobial treatment using experimental evolution
• Discovery of novel candidate antibiotics using bioinformatics
